Kyra Brandt

Kyra is a fine artist living in San Diego, CA. Kyra began painting under the artist Maria del Carmen Calvo before she continued her education at UC Santa Cruz graduating with BAs in Studio Art and Anthropology. Her art practice is devoted mainly to oil painting, while she also creates prints and earth sculpture. Kyra has been the recipient of the Irwin Project Grant, the Faulkner Award, and was the first artist in Residence at the NCOLC. When Kyra is not in the studio, she is often at the beach enjoying the sun and surf in San Diego.
