Gail Schneider

I am a daughter of the Hudson River Valley born in Kingston, New York. That landscape has always had an impact on my imagination and dreams and inspired me to become an artist. I received a BS in Art from the University of Wisconsin, and a Masters of Art at UC Berkeley where I studied sculpture with Peter Voulkos, Robert Hudson and Jim Melchert. I moved from the Hudson Valley of New York State in 1997 to San Diego where I live with the writer David Matlin and have my studio, my garden and the desert and ocean as constant inspiration.
